Hospital Staff-Veterinary Technicians

Freeway and Sparky English

Theresa English was born is Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  As an army brat, she lived in several southern states from Kentucky all the way to Texas.  After retiring from the army in 1976, Theresa's father and entire family returned to his home state of North Carolina.  Theresa attended East Duplin High School and graduated in 1979.  She then attended James Sprunt Community College and graduated in 1982 with her medical assistant degree.  While at JSCC, Theresa met and married the love of her life, Jonathan.  They have Freeway, a Peke mix.  Sadly, Sparky lost his long battle with cancer.  He will be missed.  Freeway now has a new "brother" named Quincy (black and white Cocker Spaniel).

In 1996 Theresa joined the staff at Community Animal Hospital as a Kennel Assistant.  With hard work, on-the-job training, and continuing education courses Theresa soon became our Head Technician.

The things she holds most dear are quilting, cross stitching, and fussing over her boys.  Oh, let's not forget shopping!

Chrissy Bowman
Marsha Bowman is a Knightdale native. She started at Community Animal Hospital in 1997 as a Kennel Assitant and has worked her way up to become a technician. She has 3 children Paul, Timmy, and Xxan and 3 grandchildren Michael, Chloe, and Reagan.

Her four legged family includes 7 dogs, Atilla, Cody, Cujo, Ms. Celie, Noir, Quennie and Willie and 3 cats Ke-Ke, Tweety, and Sammy. All of her animals were rescues. Marsha is true animal advocate and works tirelessly to reduce the number of strays in the Knightdale and Wendell areas.

When not "spoiling" the patients and boarders at Knightdale Animal Hospital, Marsha likes to spend time at the beach. Her other interests are reading, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Baby Girl Wiggy Truelove

Cindy Truelove was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and grew up in Hillsborough, New Jersey.  She is happily married to her husband Gary and has 3 children, Tara, Gary, and Allison.  Cindy just became a first time Grandmother with the birth of her granddaughter Sadie.  She relocated to Wake County in February of 2005 to be closer to family.

Cindy has over 2 decades of experience as a veterinary technician.  She likes to ride motorcycles with her husband and spend time at the beach.

Her furry family members are Baby Girl (Calico Domestic Shorthair), Bad Boy (Gray Domestic Longhair), Booger (Calico Domestic Shorthair) and Ilean "to the left" ( Calico Domestic Shorthair with a vestibular condition).

Tanisha Peacock

Tanisha Peacock is a true Knightdale native.  She was born and raised in Knightdale, North Carolina and stills lives in Knightdale today.  Tanisha is married to Shane and they have 2 children, Brandon and Lena.  She also has 3 dogs of her own: Pax (Pitt Bull), Gimley (Pitt Bull) and Akiles (Rat Terrier).  She shares custody of Diego (Rottweiler with her parents.  Out of all of her dogs, it is the smallest of the group who is the leader, Akiles!

In her spare time, Tanisha enjoys trail riding, showing horses and working on cars.

Rob, Finny, Archie and Olivia

Olivia McNutt was born in Conneaut, Ohio and raised in the Wendell/Knightdale area.  She graduated from East Wake High School and attended East Carolina University for 2 years.  Olivia has over 5 years experience as a veterinary technician.  She currently lives in Knightdale with Rob and her four legged family:  Finnigan (dapple Dachshund), Archie (the world's largest Chihuahua), Captain Murphy (a cross-eyed domestic short hair that thinks he is a dog), Princess Nurgle (ferret), and Slurpie (ferret).

In her free time Olivia likes to spend time with her family and friends, read, listen to music, create art, and play drums.  She sings with an acoustic band, Limelight.  Olivia fosters orphaned or physically challenged puppies.

Heather and Pug Puppies

Heather Brown is a true North Carolina native.  She was born and raised in Smithfield.  In 2002, she graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School.  She continued her education at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro and received a certificate in Phlebotomy in 2005.

Heather enjoys photography, reading comics, and spending time with her boyfriend.  She is very happy to have a job where she can truly help animals.
