Dr. Frank Batten
Dr. Batten started Wilson Veterinary Hospital back in 1975, with his sole employee his wife Flo. Throughout the years, the hospital has continued to grow to meet pets’ healthcare needs in Wilson and surrounding counties.
In 1983, he opened the Nash County Animal Hospital in Nashville, and in 2005, he added Emergency Care VETS, an emergency only animal hospital in Wilson, to his pet healthcare network. In March 2008, Dr. Batten added Community and Knightdale Animal Hospitals.
Dr. Batten is originally from Micro, NC, and he received his undergraduate degree from NC State University, and he graduated from the Vet School University of Georgia in 1972.
He and his wife have three daughters, Grey, Ginny and Wallace, four grandchildren, Virginia, Frank, George and Wallace, and four granddogs, Hunter, Sophie, Mattie and Hailey. Dr. Batten enjoys farming, horses and bike riding, and spending time with his grandchildren.
